A great book that arguably has enough flaws to pick at to the point of getting fed up. I had been warned that Philip Roth's books could be a bit of a chore, and even though this one is probably much longer than necessary, I didn't mind the length so much. Roth draws pretty explicit connections to the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal in a couple slightly off-putting political rants, but that and other gripes I had were pretty minor.
