What Members Thought
Reading Shakespeare is nothing compared to seeing it live on stage. The Tempest is a play I have read before, but I still have yet to see. This version has the most footnotes of any copy I have read, so it was a great help in doing some deeper interpretation. As always with Shakespeare, each new reading or viewing reveals something new. This is perhaps my least favourite of Shakespearean plays. It's still brilliant in the writing and construction of the lines and scenes. But I could never bring myself to care for any of the characters, save maybe Caliban and Ariel. RTC
