A world, in which fused are reality and fiction, magical and quotidien, obscurily and luminousity. Poetic, entrancing, unbelievable story put in most peculiarly diaphanous writing.
For many, this might be too whimsical. For me, this triggered my imagination in so many ways! I loved this. It was like a glass of warm sweet milk on a rainy day, drank in the comfort of my room, while listening to the sounds of the rain and breathing in the ozone smell! This is easily MY FAVOURITE BOOK OF THE YEAR

I know the year hasn't ended yet but I also know I won't find a book that can top this one, at least not any time soon, not when The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender has officially been engrained and engraved and just tattooed in my brain. This is one of those books that did everything wrong, but it did it so right; it worked fantastically. It's one of those books I wish I could write and never will. So beautiful. So strange. So wonderfully delightful. It reminded me of Roald Dahl's imagination, where strange things happen, people recognize them as strange, but not as strange as they would normally do so. Ta obálka je prostě aww :3 O příběhu v knize jsem toho moc nevěděla a ani jsem nebyla ovlivněna recenzemi, protože jsem žádnou na ni nečetla. Začala jsem ji číst bez jakéhokoli očekávání.
Byla to podivuhodná a neotřelá knížka.
