This was an interesting read. I have to admit that I did like Sadie a bit more.. it seems like the author loves an unsatisfying ending because in both you are left to pretty much decipher it as you will with no real concrete answer to a lot of the questions you have throughout the book.

3.5 stars。・:*˚:✧。 This was no midsommar but interesting none the less. The main character starts off by trying to find her sister in the cult but kinda gets dragged into it herself. I guess that’s because that’s what cults do provide you with a new family that will help you and support you. This book dragged at times and wasn’t as intense as i would have liked for a cult book it read more as a mystery book with dark themes. I wasn’t very attached to the characters in the book and didn’t feel tha

"Having a sister is a promise no one but the two of you can make - and no one but the two of you can break."
Before I begin, let me just say that the premise of cults and exploitation of broken people was played out well enough. There was really nothing wrong with the slow, careful way The Unity Projects - and by that I mean Lev Warrens - real face was shown. But the people, oh how the characters absolutely destroyed the good parts.

Where do I begin? I have a lot of mixed feelings about where this book headed and how it’s events played out but ultimately Courtney Summers still manages to weave in these disturbing, heartbreaking stories that leave you feeling hollow long after they’re over. Would it kill her to give these girls a happy ending for once??

**Thank you to Netgalley and Wednesday Books for an eArc in exchange for an honest review. This in no way changes my rating**
I was really excited for this one after reading and loving Sadie. A murderous cult with a squeaky clean front splitting sisters sounded like a great Suspense novel. Unfortunately, I was incredibly bored with this one. I ended up DNFing at 50% and skimming the end.
