Kylie Lee Baker is an absolute Goddess of writing!!! And the narrator, Rebecca Yarrow, for this did a STUNNING job. I was invested the whole way through! Her tone is SO pleasant to listen to!

I LOVED THIS. Half British Reaper, Half Japanese Shinigami? It's like this book was made for me!! Matched with the INSANELY GORGEOUS cover and bi-racial Death Bringer/God, I had high, HIGH expectations for this, and it did not let me down!! Our protagonist, Ren, was so strong and power ...more

So, I´m just gonna stop by really quickly to leave a few impressions:

- Ren is a very interesting character, she knows she´s not good. But she also has a moral (?) limit to her actions (so a very morally gray character);
- Neven is an interesting character as well considering his personality does not "match" him as it should;
- The whole book was way more dark than I was expecting, and I have to say that I really liked it;
- Now, the world-building lacks here and there, it feels as if it comes from ...more
