I finally finished this! A little hard to get through, but not because it's not good. It's just weighty and thought-provoking, thereby takes a little more time to chew on. I wish we had read it a little faster, though, as we started it as a family reading maybe 3 years ago, and I forget much of the book. Someday maybe I'll read it again, because I think there were a lot of good nuggets here. I enjoyed the part I most recently read; it helped me to see God's glory and the need for enjoying Him.

I actually listened to his sermon series on this on CD, rather than read the book. But I really liked what he had to say. A unique perspective.
This is not an easy read, but chewing through this book was eye-opening. This book revolutionized my relationship with God.
Piper has a great exposition for his point of view. But this book could have been a lot shorter.
My favorite book. Essential John Piper.
