This is short but deep. The more that I read C. S. Lewis, the more that I'm amazed at how relevant his words are for today, just as they were for his own time and era. I too, am inclined to believe the Conditioners hate the conditioned.

"The final stage is come when Man by eugenics, by pre-natal conditioning, and by an education and propaganda based on a perfect applied psychology, has obtained full control over himself. Human nature will then be the last part of Nature to surrender to Man."

So well written, deep thinking is needed. Sometimes I have to reread certain areas of CS Lewis to be able to understand and share what I’ve learned.

A prescient and necessary defense of objective Truth, of virtue, of a Manhood to which all Men can claim, against the attacks of the "Conditioners" (i.e., those who would condition us that there are no such things through their supposed "debunking"). Many times C.S. Lewis is over my head. This is one of those books. Lewis uses apologetics to prove that there is an ethical system or truth that comes from a higher power, and Jesus is the embodiment of that truth.
