This book was incredible. It was literally like watching the most awesome action movie you've ever seen. Each chapter ends with a crazy cliffhanger. But the glue that held this book together was its hero, Shane Schofield. This guy is awesome. He is so endearing to me, he could be a romance novel hero. If you want a book with a thrill a minute, a great hero, and lots of blood and guts, read this book. ...more

Wow! That was one crazy action-packed ride! Non-stop mayhem for 500+ pages. Although somewhat stretching the bounds of credibility, this was fun in the mid-summer blockbuster kind of way. Grab some popcorn and cheer on the indestructible hero Marine Shane Schofield (The Scarecrow) and his team.

Shelves: thriller

I enjoy my thriller books written by authors that put a little research into their books. Sometimes a little seems to be all you get. The weapons in this novel are going to be a head scratcher for those even just a bit in the know about such things. For those that do have some knowledge in this area it can get a bit frustrating. Again, one or two errors are not so bad but when those errors are repeated over and over that is when it really starts to chafe. Also there are going to be parts of the ...more

Enjoyed the book and loved the action scenes. It did take forever to get the French so that went on forever! Lots of fun but you have to turn off your realistic meter and just enjoy the action.
