Wow. Just wow. How often does a girl get to tell her story and have people actually listen!
Malala is both an exceptional young woman and yet could be anyone's daughter. She was a child while the events of this book were going on. It sickens me (and should sicken all of us) that any child, anywhere, should have to endanger her life for speaking her mind and wanting an education.
I respect her and wanted to hug her at the same time.

I love that Malala stood up to the Taliban and fought for what she believed in. I think she is brave for what she has accomplished. I thought the book was good for everything she has done. However, I guess this book just wasn't for me otherwise. The three stars is for Malala herself and not the book. ...more

I could not put this book down. What an incredible story of determination and courage displayed by a young girl in a society that wants to keep its girls illiterate and behind closed doors. Her realization that only education for all will bring peace to the world shows she is wise beyond her years.
