Needed a light book after some intense reading, but, boy, was it light. Had been intrigued by the legend of the ancient evil that has lived on through the ages into modern Ireland that is triggered by the arrival of Cousin Iona making the trio of cousins complete igniting the battle of good over evil. But the story line was weak and not much really happens except gal falls for guy and vice versa. Oh well – I used to enjoy Nora Roberts – not so much anymore – must be an age thing. I sometimes like to read Nora Roberts' novels because they provide very light train reading and also because I generally like the friendships that develop between her characters. I didn't like this one at all though. The dialog seemed forced and the story was just too unbelievable. I don't think I'll read the other two in the trilogy. ...more

Returned it early. I was not able to care a whit about any of the characters and having finally reached a point where I’m not wasting my time trying to get through books that don’t interest me. Roberts’ work is always a little contrived but this was dreadful.
