A beautifully written historical fiction about a Palestinian family caught up in the trauma of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the early part of the 21st century and their flight from their home in Beit Daras to a refugee camp in the Gaza strip. The story chronicles the horrors of war but also the depth of family connections and love, mainly through the eyes of the women.
