This was very enjoyable in audio, and I'm not sure what my experience would have been in print. Trevor Noah writes about his childhood growing up "colored" in South Africa, which you will learn, as a reader to this book, how that is different from white or black or Indian. Despite studying apartheid in school (or so I thought) I had no clear concept of the complexity of the system, intentionally designed to put people at odds with one another.

Really enjoyed this book and all his stories of growing up but not can’t wait for a road trip so can listen to the audiobook!

A riveting look at growing up in South Africa and despite the many horrors and atrocities Trevor lived through, he still managed to make me laugh. Sensational!
