What Members Thought

This was very enjoyable in audio, and I'm not sure what my experience would have been in print. Trevor Noah writes about his childhood growing up "colored" in South Africa, which you will learn, as a reader to this book, how that is different from white or black or Indian. Despite studying apartheid in school (or so I thought) I had no clear concept of the complexity of the system, intentionally designed to put people at odds with one another.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and want to recommend it to everyone. I love Trevor Noah's humor and storytelling ability -- his ability to show you the reality of the world. I just wanted the writing itself to be extraordinary.
