The Dry by Jane Harper kicks off my quest to read more female authors from around the world. The book takes place in dusty, sticky hot Australia during a terrible drought. I loved the way Harper kept multiple mysteries spinning around the main character, making the reveals feel extra layered. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a great detective novel!

Australia, a drought, crimes, and an older mystery ... kept me interested.
