Cloudstreet is Tim Winton's saga of two working-class Australian families who come to share a large house together in an attempt to recover after disaster strikes both families.

I loved the charm of the Pickle and Lamb families and Winton's storytelling was both real and riveting. I struggled throughout the first half of the book, however, because Winton's prose included Australian vernacular, written phonetically, and I was just not that familiar with it. This is the 3rd or 4th time reading this and this time it was as an audiobook.
The Narration was done beautifully by Peter Hosking
I don't think I'll ever get tired of going back to this one.
