This is a hard book to review. Parts 1 & 2 really intrigued me, the story was so weird but I liked the characters and I wanted to read more, so I was really looking forward to part 3. However Part 3 was disappointing the characters were still engaging and the addition of the new narrative of the detective added a bit of interest but overall I was underwhelmed by the end and rattling through just wanting to finish the book, its a real shame especially at over 1200 pages for the 3 books.
