I read French Leave by Anna Gavalda in 2011. I liked it, but was not super impressed. But something (or someone??) told me to try another book, and I must have found Ensemble, c’est tout at a second-hand book sale – not easy to find these in French around Chicago!

I just added this (I read it years ago) because it was on my "recommendations" list based on books I have read. I read this pre-GoodReads.

Strangely compelling. Loved the clean, rapid-fire dialogue. Was a little annoyed by Camille's "deus ex machina" revelation at the end but otherwise a very pleasant read.

beautiful, bittersweet story, a little bit like "Amélie" in written form.......a little bit cheesy, but still made me cry......good chick lit...
