أحتاج لشىء من التفكير والتأمل فيما قرأت قبل كتابة تعليق على هذه الرواية الرهيبة

This was one of the worse Farsi translation work I have read or try to read. Unfortunately, I had to stop after 4 Chapters. However, I will be reading this book in English translation,and I hope I am not as dissapointed as I was with the Farsi Version.
I finally got the time to listen to the English version of this book narrated masterfully by Jonathan Davis. I really like the English version much better, like the idea of the bookm even though at times it seems too long of a narrative.

I finished reading Blindness a few days ago, and have not until now tried to write a review just because I am still musing about it. As the 5 stars attest, I am among those that did like the book very much, but I can see why it is a book that is not attractive to many. Saramago leaves the reader meandering about the possible “message” of this story, to the point of it seeming almost meaningless. Thought this would "make me a better person" and steeled myself for a virtuous but joyless experience. Then I couldn't put it down. Sure, it's a parable, and a metaphor, and an allegory -- not to mention a bummer -- but it's still great. The characters to some extent are stand-ins for other things; that's fine. It's frustrating that Saramago holds back valuable information about the characters -- until you realize that it makes perfect sense.
