This book was really more like a 3.5 star book for me. The story was lovely and happy and felt somewhat transported to Burma and it's culture and geography and those were pluses for me. The book suffered a bit in terms of writing but I can easily chalk that up to the translation and forgive that. It was an easy and lovely read. Not gripping or compelling or heartbreaking but a nice love story.
