Dom Casmurro is a tender and intimate look at a budding love that flowers and dies before it has had the opportunity to experience the seasons of a lifetime. The roots remain for a while, alive and struggling for life, but the climatic conditions are not enough to sustain it. The once beautiful flower suffers a slow and painful death. Fascinating little book that leaves a fascinating big impression. What did I learn? Again, not to presume anything about a book. Just go ahead and open that cover. Then decide.

I loved this 'little' tome. And yes, it IS a tome, even as thin as it is; there's a lot in there.

Enjoyable very modern read with an unreliable narrator describing the romance of his life, but with his judgement and memory clouded by an obsessive jealousy.
