Considering that I am not particularly interested in Egypt or in archeology, in books with dying animals, or in stories populated with dozens of foreign-named people, giving this book two stars was the best I could do. But I do recognize that the problem is me, not the book. It was a book club selection, and a good participant..... you know the rest .... always reads the book.
