So...Kate Morton usually never disappoints me. I think if you like Nightingale (Kristin Hannah) or the likes, you'd love Kate Morton's books too. The narrative, even though sometimes quite long, was rich in details and juicy drama plots. Back and forth timeline from current days to the days of World War II and in between, made this book never felt boring. I actually can guess the twist just before it revealed itself. But it didn't reduce my enjoyment of reading the story :) ...more

I grabbed this WW2 influenced contemporary story from the library's express 1 wk shelf, so felt the pressure to complete on time for returning by due date!

Definitely a lengthy and multi faceted story of interconnected characters, their individual stories and relationships unfolding from a variety of viewpoints with surprising end twists that left me satisfied for the reading investment required for the 484 pages..
