What Members Thought
Very interesting collection of lectures that gives the reader greater insight into Nabokov's approach to literature. His own writing is often very subtle and puzzling, but here, we see Nabokov commenting directly on literature as a whole. Some lectures are definitely better than others; the ones on Proust and Kafka were magnificent while the Stevenson lecture was somewhat disappointing. Also annoyed sometimes by the sheer amount of plot summary, but nonetheless an interesting read and path into
