Wow what a fantastic book. This was not the first book that I read being penned by Bruce A. Sarte, but I have to tell you it is my favorite by far! One thing Bruce does well is create vivid characters that are both easy to like and interesting. Furthermore they are vulnerable but realistic meaning they have flaws to help offset some of their strengths which I believe makes them more believable. I sure hope this becomes a series as I believe many other stories can be written about our hero, Lance

Philadelphia Story is the first book in the Lance Carter detective series. The book starts out with action and never lets up. Lance starts chasing down the baddies to save a little girl -- and then the story catapults into the present where a case is dropped on his desk that seems like a run of the mill find a deadbeat dad case.
