I really liked this book. I would have loved it if not for 2 reasons. The length and Phoebe. I thought it was a tad bit too long. And Phoebe annoyed the shit out of me. She had so many TSTL moments I just couldn't deal. She even ruined the first sex scene for me. She never knew when to STFU. It wasn't cute. It wasn't quirky. It wasn't endearing. It was annoying af. BUT every other character in this story I loved. I can't wait to read more in this series. ...more

I think I would have gave this book a 5-star if I had listened to the audiobook...and if I had already read the Troubleshooter series before hand.

I enjoyed to action and plot twists in this book. This was the first book I've read by this author, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The second half was better than the first, but I really liked the ending. ...more

I reciveed this one as a first read. This was such a great read! I love Suzanne brockmann writing style so much. She has the ability to write multiple couples and multiple POVs weaving them seamlessly. this one has a great story with tons of action. I also love the romance in this one. I was rooting for all the couples. I will definitely read another Brockman book soon.

**Audiobook review** I was a little nonplussed when this one had 2 narrators - a man and a woman - but as I listened I began to really enjoy the two different voices. They switched off every chapter and it works quite well. They both had very smooth, easy to listen to voices. This book started off slowly, but Suzanne Brockman books often do as they are rather complex. But once I really got into the story I loved it.
