oooh this one was WONDERFUL! What an amazing twist on Beauty and the Beast. If the Beast were not just a beast...but Fae. How can you trust a Fae heart? Knowing that every word they whisper is tricks and their food is just another game they play.

Going back and rereading this after being caught up in the series is such a different feeling, catching the hints and reading between the lines. Knowing the characters and the why. An insider rather then an outsider.
Also I never realized that this reread was almost 5 years later.

If you are a lover of Beauty and the Beast retellings, if you like your fantasy to involve magical realms, fairies, romance, a wickedness that is just too good then you'll enjoy this book.

I really liked this book. I would have easily rated it 5 stars but for one problem. It sounds like the author is setting up the series for a love triangle and I freaking

REREAD again LOL 4/18/25
My daughter and I decided to reread this series. I have reread it with numerous groups before but never with my daughter who actually introduced me to this series or author for that matter. I never mind rereading this series. I think it's one of my all time favorites of all time and it's like visiting an old friend when I decide to reread the series.

Hi. My name is Morgan, and I did not like Throne of Glass.
I am, however, unable to pass up faeries or a potential retelling. Sewwww ... This happened.
As you can already see by my star rating, I REALLY LIKED THIS. Which is crazy with how annoyed I was with Throne of Glass and the MC... and basically all of it's everything.
I can see shades of Beauty and the Beast in this, but I also think Feyre is a bit more of the Beast than the Beauty in a lot of ways. (AND I LIKED IT.) She wasn't some simpering ...more

I loved this book. I'm not sure what else to say really. I loved how I was on an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end. Feyre was so prickly, so narrow-minded and so difficult to start with and her circumstances were so terrible that I wasn't sure I could keep going, but once the romance started, and then the development of the characters and the trials and...well...I'm somewhat breathless.
