A couple of months ago, I read another book by Jeneva Rose, and I enjoyed her writing, so I decided to pick her debut work.
I could feel it was her first book, but I didn't enjoy it as much as One of Us Is Dead. The Perfect Marriage is a book of revenge, but you must find out who is vengeance and whom.

Unrealistic

The Perfect Marriage is anything but. Sarah and Adam are supposed to be happily married, but she's a high powered attorney who made partner at her firm and he's an author struggling to remain relevant. Adam uses their new lake house to spawn creativity, allegedly, while Sarah mostly stays at their house in DC for work. I had an issue with this book as the characters (all of them!) were so unlikable that I didn't have anyone to root for. I like solid character development (whether it's the good guy or the bad guy) and there wasn't any of that here.

The husband, Adam, was a published author, mid-thirties and was a whiny momma's boy who's always the victim. The wife, Sarah, also mid-thirties, is a driven defense attorney who is one of the best in the field and she continually acts out of character. Granted ...more

Unfortunately, I am clearly in the minority here, as it seems everyone I follow gave this 5 stars. But I just couldn’t get past the major plot holes to enjoy this.
