Quite a gripping read in many ways—I wish I could give it a 3.5 stars rather than only a 3. I liked how the author wove the tale, literally, through a storyteller on a stormy night, with people gathered around the fire in an inn... and how we're gradually brought to understand what's really up with said storyteller.

This was an interesting retelling of pre-Arthurian stories, in that it didn't focus on Arthur, the Graal, etc., but on his father and how he got to become Pendragon. A lot of scenes a
