I'm going to be honest - up until half the book I wasn't very impressed. Beth and Jennifer were hilarious, but I wasn't convinced with Lincoln. It was hard for me to start seeing him as more than a creep who proof-reads other people's e-mail. Once I got over that, it was actually like experiencing a Nora Ephron movie in book form - think You've Got Mail, but creepier.
I will also admit that, since I don't even know what Dungeons & Dragons ...more

Guuuyyysss! I don’t even know where to start, because THIS BOOK.
Oh, Lincoln, you extremely shy, sexy, and nerdy beast, let’s have babies together.
Goodness me, Rainbow Rowell knows what I like in the men department, what kind of sorcery is this?? Seriously, I love how her heroes are always perfectly normal guys that *I swear* exist in real life, because so many times heroes in books are way too perfect, or just plain cliches, and I’m always like, “pfftttt guys like this don’t exist…”, not wit ...more

Attachments was funny, cute and everything I hoped it would be. Even more, I guess. When I picked this book for my summer reading list, I didn't know what it was about: only that it had something to do with email. I didn't know exactly what to expect, I only hoped that it would be as funny as the other books I'd already read by Rainbow Rowell. I got exactly what I hoping for. Beth and Jennifer are super funny, they cracked me up every single time. I quite enjoyed the dynamic between the two. ...more

I don't know why I've waited so long to read a Rainbow Rowell book, maybe because her books are so hyped I was afraid I'd end up disappointed after reading them, but - even with my high expectations - that was not possible with Attachments ! It was an absolute pleasure to read each and every single page of this book, I was completely in love with Rowell's writing... the way her characters' sense of humor, feelings, stories and complexity come through just shows what an amazing author she is.
