Hmm...I might come back to this. I’m not sold on the “so-called” connection the h and H have. The beginning started off very well but I’m finding I don’t like the heroine all that much. Which makes me sound like a total bitch but I can’t help it. She kind of lost me the moment she embarrassingly propositioned the hero—which I think was supposed to be endearing and maybe make her relatable but it wasn’t. She was an idiot. I know I said I was tired of reading books where the heroine is virginal while the man is a man-whore, but this took it all the way to the extreme of what I was looking for.

A quick, enjoyable read. I love Pride and Prejudice, but this was not a modern rendition. The lead female's name is Elizabeth Bennett and she happens to love the book as does the lead male, her love interest, Declan.
Elizabeth has sworn off love after having been duped in the past by someone she thought she was in love with and ending with him raping her. Declan has a reputation with the ladies, but has also sworn off relationships after finding his (now ex-) girlfriend bouncing on a Ninja Turtl ...more
