In high school I had one of those big FiveStar spiral notebooks with a bunch of sections that I could use for all of my classes, and one extra sections that I could use for whatever I wanted. In the end it was used for me to right stories, whatever came to mid was written in this section. This is what Devilish makes me think of.

So this book just crept up on me... well, okay, it has been a bed-side companion since the day I got it in the mail last year but that is not the point! I adore Maureen Johnson. I luff her. So I read her books. I read this in an afternoon, and it was entertaining. Funny characters, good setting. (Has there ever been a less paranormall-y place than Providence, RI?) I was interested in the girl's school setting, but that's not where most of the action takes place. The demons were sufficiently evil and clever. While sacrifice is a big theme, it remains a lot of fun. ...more
