I wasn't crazy about this book in the beginning even though it some how caught my interest from the get go. I wish that I would not have started this book with out its sequel being out already.

I really liked it. Gripping start, got my attention. I have to say though that there were times when Chloe was a little annoying, a little slower at coming to conclusions than I would have liked. Also, I felt ZERO chemistry between her and Simon, which I'm guessing is a bad thing. I sense a love triangle but there's no contest in my opinion. Also, it might not have worked out too well but it would have been nice to have more parent-child stuff happening--that relationship is sort of in limbo for

I absolutely LOVED it. Though I'm a HUGE fan of her Women of the Otherworld series, and The Summoning is set in the same universe, so the big surprises weren't really, because I already knew the rules of the universe. Kelley is a fantastic author and I will read ANYTHING she writes. DEFINITELY pick this one up!!!!
