This book is a great book. It had me and I thought I knew it, but it got me and I was slightly surprised. Kudos to them.
The pacing was a little slow at the start, but halfway through I lost the ability to put it down.
I would describe the world as Dresden Files on steroids (i.e. more blood, more magic, more sexual tension). The protagonist, Kate, is a merc with a big sword in a world that is both seamlessly melded with magic and starkly opposed to it. Love her. The world is well thought through ...more

This book was different than what I expected. I knew going into it that several of my fave authors are fans of this series, so I went in expecting to really like it. For some reason I had trouble getting into the beginning of it. I can't really tell you what that reason is

3.5 largo (aunque me costó un poco engancharme). Me ha entretenido bastante y veo potencial en la saga, así que seguro que sigo con las aventuras de Kate.
Really enjoyed this book!
I struggled a little with this book, it took me a few tries to get through it. It's an interesting world, and I really like Kate. I do hope there is more romance in this series. .
