What Members Thought
Whew, this book was long! I have loved Tom Clancy’s books for a long time. I have been intimidated by this book for years due to its length. I finally committed to read it and I’m glad I did. It was a great story with many moving parts, which is typical Clancy. The Jack Ryan character is one of my favorites. This book could have been much shorter. There was slot of extra stuff that could have been omitted, but overall the story was very good and I’m glad I read it!
As for the plot, I LOVE books about politics, espionage and global conflict. The racism is getting worse. It’s like the older TC got, the more racist he became. It’s sad that this happens. I will probably read the rest of his books, but I cringe every time he wrote “raghead” and “jap”. Horrible words.
