From a real spy, I definitely expected much better. This is a very good action novel. The protagonist is a tough cookie. But though he has been stated as a formidable adversary, somewhere down the line he falls short of being "formidable".

Have noted this book has had Star ratings from 5 stars to an Embarrasing 1 Star, And after reading I can understand why (maybe not the 1 star ). Personally speaking while reading this Spy/Thriller it climbed between very good to mediocre. As others have pointed out Matthew Dunn needs a writing Mentor for his next Will Cochrane outing as the prose were poor, but the action was good.
