I owe this one a reread. I thought the writing was breathtaking and the premise was amazing, but I just found my attention wandering a bit.

I had to stop reading this one. I really liked the Night Circus, but this one was just too confusing and abstract for me. I found that I was setting this book aside and reading others so as not to have to continue. A good writer, but just not my cup of tea, I guess.

This was a tough read for me. I really wanted to love this because I loved The Night Circus but it just didn’t do it for me. I loved her writing style just as I did in her previous novel and she carries that through here. The themes and ideas of the novel are intriguing as well but surprisingly I was kind of confused and/or bored through most of it.
