What Members Thought
I found this book engrossing after the first third or so, and then ripped through the rest of it. Because the storylines hop around, I found myself often wishing we could get back to the characters and plots that I actually cared about. This certainly was part of the fast pace for me. I was most interested in Jon Snow and the wall in the north, and to some extent Daenerys. Ah well, I'm off to read the second one now.

My only regret is that I did not read the books before I saw the TV series. I really enjoyed the TV series, but I wish I could have read the books without having my imagination tainted.
This book may be long as fantasy novels go but its worth reading> I have already seen the series on TV, who hasnt but I sometimes like to read the book too. The series was the same as the book. long but gripping this will keep you hooked to the last page. Shall I dare read the nest book...
Listened to the audio. Interesting story, took a while to get going.
