Girl in the Arena takes us into a future society where instead of basketball and WAGS you have GSW's , where you are only allowed to marry a total of seven times and that if a gladiator picks up your bracelet , you have to marry him. For Lyn , her whole life has been surrounded by these rules with her mother being a GSW - Gladiator Society Wife and being the only women to have married seven gladiators.
