I was not loving this book in the first half of the novel. However, I did fall in love with the romantic nature of the novel by the end. I felt like I was reading a novel written by William Shakespeare at many points. Scott combined action, romance, tragedy, comedy to tell his story of Wilfred of Ivanhoe, Richard the Lion-Hearted, evil Prince John, and Robin Hood (who knew!). Some wonderful characters in the book!
