Whether you read SF or not, Ray Bradbury writes beautifully. His style is dreamy and lyrical, satirical and funny, and at times creepy as hell.
This book is interconnected short stories, rather than a novel in the traditional sense. It describes the imagined human colonization of Mars. This is one of those books where you may read it in school and you may not. Unfortunately my school was never offered this book as an opportunity. I'm glad that I was able to pick it up and read it on my own. The only Ray Bradbury book I read was Farenheit 451, and that was a school read. It remained one of my favorite books and one that I made sure to buy when I was building up a bookshelf of my own.

Loved it. Bradbury's language is just so gorgeous, his stories so captivating.
My favorite part was "AUGUST 2026: THERE WILL COME SOFT RAINS" - so beautifully tragic.
Favorite Quotes:
"Men have a talent for ruining big, beautiful things. The only reason we didn’t set up hot-dog stands in the midst of the Egyptian temple of Karnak is because it was out of the way and served no large commercial purpose."
