Collide will always be awesome to me because it was the very first book, but Caleb and Maggie were definitely the most fun to write. If I could have jumped in the book and married Caleb right then, I would have :) I love characters with morals and real feelings, characters that have redeeming qualities.

If I can have some paranormal stuff going on with some real love and romance thrown into the mix with an original storyline, I'm hooked. Line and sinker.

How much did I love this book??? Hmmm
I wasn't sure if I would like this book. Honestly, I didn't have any expectations, but I've been blown away!
I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. This is the first book of the author Shelly Crane that I read and I fell in love with this author! I immediately liked her writing style, humor, creativity and imagination. It was very easy for me to make images of this story in my mind. Wow. I really did not expect this kind of story, so I was pleasantl How much did I love this book??? Hmmm

I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. This is the first book of the author Shelly Crane that I read and I fell in love with this author! I immediately liked her writing style, humor, creativity and imagination. It was very easy for me to make images of this story in my mind. Wow. I really did not expect this kind of story, so I was pleasantly surprised!
The story begins with the graduation of Maggie: a girl, what is most ordinary. She is beautiful and seems to have a good circle of friends. Even though she finished high school, she's living quite difficult moments in his personal life and especially with her family. Nothing seems to improve, when suddenly; Maggie meets Caleb, the cousin of her friend Kyle.
From that moment on, everything goes very quickly and the action continues to happen! I loved all the events of this story, although some were quite intense, I especially enjoyed the course overall. Maggie is the kind of girl who gets along with everyone, which seems to listen to others and would need a little boost in life to make everything perfect. She is beautiful, smart and takes care of his father who also lives difficult times. Caleb's character is very appealing: he's present for Maggie, patient with her and her entourage and don't force her into anything. He also seems very sexy (see pictures of Caleb)!
The author includes many details about the past and the history of the family of Caleb and all this helps the reader to become familiar with the characters.
I was interested in the dark side brought by the way of life with Caleb or his family. The bad guy in this story is also very attractive in the ''dark'' character things. Envy does several victims over several years and I loved the plot and the suspense around the bad boy.
The only mention is small in length, after a while, the story seems a little turned around, but the reader is quickly thrown into a new episode. I liked how the author ended her story open for a second book and quite tempting to give the readers want to read it!
If you're looking for something different from vampires or werewolves story, but you crave paranormal and YA fantasy, you should try Significance.

another great book by Shelly Crane!! Love Maggie and Caleb, though not as much as Merrick and Sherry. But I still love them.

It's sort of an everyone type of book.
Why do I say that you ask? Because I cannot think of a single sane girl that would not adore at least SOMETHING about this book. Well actually I can't imagine you, or anyone for that matter, not flat out loving it because it's just one of those books.
I'm a sixteen year old Christian and was so completely in love with it. For a couple of reasons.
1) it was decent. I mean, yes they are each others soulmate and kiss and all that happy stuff but it was decent. The author isn't plaguing my young mind with inappropriate content and language. That was just so awesome! It's hard to find books, as a Christian that you can feel really well about reading but this was one of them. I'm sure rather extreme legalists could find fault,( the kissing scenes? Awesome! )But I suppose my point os that it in no way warrants that. There are brief references to sex and very mild swearing (I don't remember hardly any) but the nice thing was that the characters proved themselves to be bigger then their temptations. Stronger than their desires in that way. Holding themselves to the standard they knew was right.
2) Maggie. You know what drives me insane in books? When the main character can't decide who she loves. I mean I do understand, she's usually choosing between two pretty awesome guys but I just hate that one of them has to get hurt because of her indecision. I love that in Significance there is no second guessing. No doubt in Maggie's mind who she loves, and no doubt in Caleb's who he loves either. Naturally and realistically Maggie has Insecurities and concerns about their sudden imprint but aside From the rational and justified worries about her sudden love for this boy she barely knows she doesnt take an entire series to admit and be able to deal with the fact that she does love Caleb and no one else. And after that's cleared up they don't question each other and I just love that. That's how love is supposed to be. And then there's
3) it's just sweet. Sweet, awesome, moving, intense, funny,...we could go on and on here but the bottom line is that you, and everyone you know, needs to read this book.
Amazing. Epic. Moving.
I you have not read this book you need to change that!
Go buy it! Like right now!

Her mother abandoned her family but not before she took all their money with her. Her Dad is practically catatonic and she had to start working to help pay for things around the house. Her academic year is shot and she isn't sure she could get into a good college if she tried. Maggie used to have friends but has pul Significance is the perfect paranormal romance. Her mother abandoned her family but not before she took all their money with her. Her Dad is practically catatonic and she had to start working to help pay for things around the house. Her academic year is shot and she isn't sure she could get into a good college if she tried. Maggie used to have friends but has pulled away from them because of her family troubles. She has been hiding her life from everyone. Her High School sweetheart Chad, breaks up with her three days after her Mom leaves with everything. She is devastated and withdrawals from everything she has known.

Significance begins at Maggie's graduation where she is sitting among her peers but still just going through the motions. Kyle turns around and asks her to hang out and for some reason after turning him down several times over the past year, Maggie says Yes. After graduation, Maggie's Dad behaves like a complete jerk and she ends up just escaping out of her house for a walk. As she begins to walk around she is waiting to cross the road when she notices a cute tan guy with headphones in his ears. She ends up saving him from being run over by jerking back from the curb at the last minute. She feels attracted to him from the start but finds out he is Kyle's cousin Caleb who is actually in town celebrating Kyle's graduation. They walk to Kyle's together. Kyle isn't thrilled when he sees them together thinking Caleb is encroching his girl. Just as Maggie goes to leave on her date with Kyle, she shakes Caleb's hand and then the magic starts. She starts to change and she and Caleb imprint with each which means they are soulmates.

Maggie finds herself the center of a large paranormal family with amazing abilities and the perfect guy in Caleb. This book is pure magic and romance. Many times I read a book and feel like the just as the couple gets together it ends and you miss all the good stuff. Well, Significance is all "good stuff"! Caleb is sweet, protective, and HOT! I would bet Caleb could beat Edward and Jacob in a best boyfriend contest hands down. Although they are dependent on each other, I feel this just adds to the mystical connection between them. Maggie and Caleb compliment each other as so many of the significants do in the story. Significance is not all romance but has some rival clans, a kidnapping and soulmate withdrawals that Maggie and Caleb must get through.

I hope that more people will read this 5-star romance. I would recommend this for YA Romance lovers who like paranormal. I will definitely be picking up Ms. Crane's other books and cannot wait for Accordance to continue Maggie and Caleb's story. For me this book was better than Twilight which I read over and over. I am sure this is the first of many readings for signifance that are in my future! ...more

Wow! This was such a beautiful story!! I absolutely loved every second of it! The imprint was so intense and unexpected and the author did a great job of making you feel what Maggie & Caleb felt through their imprint. This was the first Shelly Crane book I read, and I loved it, and have re-read the series time after time! I generally do not fall for the "love at first sight" books because they are usually not that believable. Not the case with Significance! Getting a look inside the characters' heads and understanding why they are feeling the way they are and what they're going through together made me love the story so much more.

SIGNIFICANCE is a book that will allow you to have a different outlook on "love" after you read it. I was absolutely hooked from page one and could not put it down. And after finishing I find myself craving more of Caleb and Maggies tale. Good thing ACCORDANCE (Significance #2) was released on September 20th 2011.
