I'm really loving this book because it was the first book I've written while the characters were still in high school. It was interesting and fun writing a story in the halls of a place I despised and even though it may not be like the rest of the books I've written, it still carries the same flow and romance as the others. My Cover Thoughts: I love the cover! Shelly has done it again with an amazing cover! It is of a girl and a guy just lying in the grass just staring up into the sky looking at something. They are looking at something that makes them happy because they are smiling.

My Thoughts/Review: Shelly Crane has done it again. This series will have you on the edge of your seat. She sets the background in a world where hurt and devastation is all around. P Warning: This book will devour you!

My Thoughts/Review: Shelly Crane has done it again. This series will have you on the edge of your seat. She sets the background in a world where hurt and devastation is all around. People will have to make choices and stand by the decision they make. Some people will gain friends and others will lose friends. Love is always there but is it real or fake?

Would you be able to stand against your friends? Would you stand up for someone you never hung out with? Would you hurt someone’s feelings just because everyone else did? Standing up to the school bullies is never easy enough but will you be devoured or will you be doing the devouring?

What happens when Clara falls for Eli? Will she love him or will he love her? Is he right for her or wrong for her? Will they be together? Clara already has a boyfriend she loves but will he be enough. Read on to find out what happens and see if you too will be devoured?

I pulled him back to me and let him ravish my mouth furiously, turning in my seat to reach him better. His breaths were huffing like we were running a marathon and he groaned several times as my skin heated and he absorbed the want I felt for him and my happiness at the situation for the moment. Shelly Crane has managed to do this yet again ! Make me read with a smile ( Different kinds - smug , sly , shy , grin etc ) on my face irrespective of what i'm reading . I'm stunned by the abilities she possesses . Love the lady a lot ! Devour is a very unique story , with unique kind of beings . Nice change from the usualness of what we read all the time . If you have read Significance, Accordance, Collide and Uprising, you know what an amazing writer Shelly Crane is. In Devour, she has branched out into a whole new paranormal venue and it is grand and refreshing. The characters and plot have great depth, and the emotions and sensations are vivid and magical. I am thrilled to have another series by Shelly Crane. There's just something about the way she writes that has me hooked before I can finish the first chapter. I love how she includes things very current like favorite TV shows and bands that connect with me instantly.

Clara is a pretty normal girl, aside from the fact she has lost her parents and her sister never makes time for her. Her friends are the typical popular kids and her boyfriend can be a smidge jealous. And it doesn't help that new guy Eli has eyes for her. Eli challenges her to be who she really is by standing up to her friends for their treatment of others. Clara changes throughout the novel to grow into who she is supposed to be.

Eli and Clara's chemistry is sweetly tangible. Eli is friendly and likeable with just enough bad boy to make him interesting. Eli has many secrets which I don't want to expose but trust me when I say this is a unique story that cannot be compared. Just as Eli and Clara begin to define what is happening between them, Eli's family has tracked him down causing all sorts of danger for the new couple. Ms. Crane has a talent for writing couples that have a soul deep connection. It is extremely refreshing to have a couple that is fighting together instead of fighting against their attraction. In fact, in a couple of places Crane pokes fun at these usual storylines by Clara telling Eli that she knows this is where he leaves her for her own good. Eli however, isn't your typical hero. He and Clara are tied together as soul mates making her the only person who can feed him.

This is only one of Shelly Crane's awesome books! Her series Significance and Collide are also unique paranormal romances with soul deep love matches. I always know I am getting a good read when I sit down with one of her books. ...more

I have been "Devoured"! This book was amazing from beginning to end. The characters grab your attention and keep it until the very last sentence is read. Up until a week ago I had never read anything written by Shelly Crane, but after quickly catching up in the Significance series and having the opportunity to read the arc of Devour, I won't think twice to read anything written by her in the future. Let me start this review by saying that Shelly Crane is a gift to the world of young adult fiction.

I really liked Devour, the first novel in Shelly Crane’s latest young adult paranormal romance series. It’s a great novel, and I recommend it to young adults. However, I must admit that I enjoyed the first novel in Shelly Crane’s other paranormal romance series, Significance, a tab bit more.

Wow! Once again Shelly Crane has created a masterpiece! This is another one of those books that I just could not put down! There's so much action and mystery, and the love story is just beautiful! Eli is a gorgeous, perfect gentleman with a mysterious dark side. And Clara starts out very kind but a bit weak and it is amazing to watch her develop her confidence & self-worth.
