This was my first Georgette Heyer and still one of my favorites.
Fun stuff, reminiscent of my favorite Heyer, The Grand Sophy.
One of my top three favorite books of hers so far.

Listened to an audiobook version of this one, in which Arabella was read to sound a little more simpering than the stronger protagonists created by Heyer, which I accustomed to. Thus it was difficult to fully like Arabella, and much easier to like Mr. Beaumaris. I think I’ll have to read the printed copy again in a few years.
