I was half-way through the book before I could keep the four sisters straight in my head, but, after sorting that out, it became quite a pleasant and satisfying read. And, of course, as usual, Stevenson did a lovely job with the cast of minor characters as well.

Delightful again! I have to confess I skipped the one chapter that was set in the war zone -- my reading tends to be a little more escapist right now so I preferred to "stay home" with the Grace family. I love all four of these Miss Buncle's books and will definitely reread them. The first is my favorite, tho.
