4.5 stars. Wow, I loved this book. I read it for 6th grade book club, and we are only supposed to read the assigned section each week. I couldn't put it down and read it all in one day. It will be interesting to see if any of the kids in my group had the same problem.

I read this book because I have three boys, and two of them have already read it and loved it. I think it's a great coming of age story. For even the most reluctant readers, the story is easy to read and will hold their attention.

I remember reading this when I was in school and I enjoyed reading it again. I think it could do without his mother/father's divorce and his mother's "secret".
