I learned a lot about Judaism while reading this book.
I found this book just plain fascinating. I really don't know much about Judaism and had never even heard of the Hasidic sect, and all of that was so interesting to learn about. The two main characters, Reuven and Danny, were gifted boys that took their education seriously -- and I loved seeing them grow and shine. This book leaves you with a lot to think about in terms of friendship, the value (and harm) of silence, and father/son relationships. It was one I wanted to talk about after reading -
