Loved this story! Kept me engaged from beginning to end.
This book has quite a bit going on with it, and most of it happening in plot lines 70 years apart. A reporter is hired for her research and investigative skills to find an old man’s friend with whom he had escaped Germany during the war. This search happens to have ties with the people and places she is already looking into for a news story. The mystery element of the book is creative and interesting. I probably didn’t love it because I listed to it and had a really hard time keeping track of all the characters.
Connecting a modern setting with a historical one (WW2) is right up my alley. Loved this one.
