The First Ladies Detective Agency books are mostly books about people. They are full of the everyday lives and conversations of the characters. Mma Ramotswe solves her cases due to her intuition and knowledge of people.

Another light, easy read. Mma Ramotswe is like a personal friend. And it is always fun to visit with her briefly after an absence. This time she is busy trying to solve a mystery for a local soccer team. We are given the clues throughout the book so if we haven't solved it before Mma Ramotswe, then we hit ourselves on the head and say, "Oh, duh." Meanwhile Mma Makutsi has some personal problems that are resolved in a funny way but her enemy is still out there so I suspect we will meet her in fut

I still liked this book, but I found it less absorbing than the other ones. This is the 10th in the series. Maybe he is running out of fresh ideas? These books remind me of an afghan or quilt...nothing flashy or exciting but just comfy & cozy. They are enjoyable reads...but not "page turners." But I keep coming back to them because I really love characters.
