I enjoyed this more this time around. It’s at least the 3rd time I’ve listened to it on Librovox. David Clark is an amazing reader.
First Sherlock Holmes mystery I've read and probably the last, but I'm glad I got that out of my system.

Great mystery! You can’t fool Sherlock Holmes! Good story, the language is a little cumbersome and outdated, but a good story!
My first Sherlock Holmes and I liked it!
Wow, what a pleasant surprise! I had never read any of the Sherlock Holmes books, nor had I had any great interest in them. But our book club chose this one (actually our town chose it for a city-wide book club event) so I decided to dive in. It was delightful: fast-paced, exciting, clean, lots of interesting twists and turns, great characters -- everything I enjoy in a book. I had no complaints. It was a short, fast read...yet it felt complete. I will definitely be going back for more Sherlock
