This was a reread for me, but it felt new since I only remembered a small piece of the beginning and a smaller piece of the ending. Lots to think about in this book, and I wonder how much I missed since there was lots of poetic symbolism going on, it seemed like. I like the overarching message of not being so busy that you forget to really think about things. And I like the message that reading a good book helps you do that.

Wow, I can't believe I picked back-to-back read by authors. Alice Sebold reading The Lovely Bones grew on me, Ray Bradbury is difficult to understand, he doesn't enunciate and this will be a struggle. Changed to audiobook read by Stephen Hoye and liking it better.

This is one of my all-time favorites. Even the third time I read it, it was absolutely captivating. Several of the scifi "predictions" Bradbury describes, have come true. The idea of society giving up books and reading is a scary prospect that is become more and more apparent every day. I have never recommended this book to anyone and had them dislike it. The more I read of Bradbury, the more I love his writings.
