Not only do I adore the entire idea of running away to live in the most elegant place you can think of -- an art museum -- this whole book is infused with charm, humor, and profound poetic moments.

Originally, as with so many children's books, I read this in the 5th grade for "Battle of the Books," I believe. Since I read this book in college for my library science class, it has been one of my favorites. Imagine getting locked in a museum overnight. It would be a little scary, but oh so much fun. That's what happens to these children. This is a great read and as I've said before anytime you are dealing with a Newberry winner you can't go wrong. ...more
